Working to Find Ways to Reduce Selenium In Our Locally Affected Waterways
March 2010: The "Climbing the Selenium Summit" educational workshop was a great success! Over 75 people attended with representation from 35 groups. The Selenium Task Forces would like to thank all the presenters who shared their knowledge and expertise with us. We would also like to thank the Colorado River Water Conservation District and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for their support in helping to make this event possible. Selenium Pilot Bioreactor Study Results Available: The Selenium Pilot Bioreactor study funded by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Science and Technology Program and carried out by Mesa State College and Golder Associates is complete. The final report is available under the "Projects" web page.

January 2010: Please join the Gunnison Basin & Grand Valley Selenium Task Forces for the "Climbing the Selenium Summit" educational forum taking place on February 18th, 2010, at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 530 Gunnison River Drive, Delta, CO (9:30am to 3pm). Snacks and lunch provided.
2009 On December 4th, 2009, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released a Final Gunnison Basin Programmatic Biological Opinion (Gunnison PBO).
The State of Colorado Water Quality Control Division has released a Draft Gunnison Basin Selenium TMDL (Draft TMLD). The WQCD will be accepting public comments until January 15, 2010.
